June 20, 2025: Skills Training - Adult Sexuality and the Essential Nature of Play
Presented by: Jessica Price, LICSW
Today, in a world in which most adults are trying to conduct their sexual and romantic relationships amidst near-constant sources of stress and chaos, play is an often-neglected but fundamental skill and powerful pathway to connection, pleasure, and healing. In this course, participants will build clinical play skills with applications for individual and couples sex therapy practice. The course will explore intersections between play and desire, masturbation and fantasy, anxiety, parenting, aging, and more. Participants will also be taught how to do a play assessment with clients. Participants should prepare for this course by acquiring the following play materials, which will be utilized during the course: play dough, bubbles, stackable blocks, markers, pencils, crayons, construction paper, and white computer paper.
